My Journey, an Inner Pilgrimage

When I dip my brush in the paint,

I plunge into the river

& unveil my heart.

My journey in art is an inner pilgrimage—a sacred way of touching presence through color, vision, and wonder. Guided by a Bhakti path of deep listening, I create what brims from my heart. My earliest paintings depicted people tilted against the landscape, swept by an unseen wind that I could deeply feel. Just like the wind, the full depths of the human heart cannot be seen, but they can be experienced. My heart is a reservoir of life where an inner drum pulsates. When I paint, I yield to this flow, navigating the unseen curves and waterfalls of the creative spirit—sometimes touching the muddy surface, sometimes rising with the waves and melting on the shores, sometimes flowing sweetly with the undercurrent, and other times splashing against the waves until I return to the arms of trust again and again. My art is about touching the essence of life, Light, and wonder, honoring the Great Mystery and Supreme Love that gives me life and flows through me.

Every season of wonder and change within me flows through my art: times of emptiness, times of fullness through the grace of ripening, harvesting, pruning, death, and life ever-transforming me and this beautiful earth. So, too, my heart is an inner sanctuary—an altar of compost where I return again and again to be renewed, to remember where I came from, and to capture all that moves my heart and gives me breath to receive and eyes to behold.

The essence of a tree, the wind, guardians, and Higher Beings all influence my vision. I am on a Bhakti journey of listening to this inner guidance that helps me feel the shakti of life, the colors of the sunrise, the breath of the wind, the light of the sun, and the soothing presence of the moon. It is all one. The journey continues, the yearning continues, the bowing continues to the Divine Mother and Shiva-Shakti of Life—Form and formless, name and nameless—imbued with a love that passes all understanding.

Deepest bows. May each artwork bring forth infinite blessings to your heart and a new wonder of discovery.

Deepest peace,
Ainhoa
